Under Community First Choice (CFC)
In-Home Support Services (IHSS) is a Medicaid-funded program under Health First Colorado that allows individuals to receive essential care in the comfort of their home with greater flexibility and control.
IHSS supports individuals who require assistance with daily living activities and health-related tasks while promoting independence, dignity, and coordinated care.

To receive IHSS services, individuals must meet the following criteria:
Be enrolled in Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid).
Meet eligibility requirements under the Community First Choice (CFC) program.
Demonstrate a need for personal care, homemaker services, or health maintenance activities.
Participate in care planning through a Case Management Agency (CMA).
IHSS covers essential in-home support tailored to each individual's needs.
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and daily activities.
Light housekeeping, meal preparation, and essential household tasks.
Support with certain health-related tasks (HMA) as authorized.
Care delivered under an individualized Service Plan.
IHSS can be provided one of two ways, depending on the individual's needs and preferences.
Services are delivered directly by Healthcare Agency Corp, with caregivers hired, trained, and supervised by our team — providing full clinical oversight, scheduling, and care coordination.
Individuals and families can choose to direct their own care through the Consumer-Directed Attendant Support Services model, selecting and managing their own caregivers.
